Meet Dr. Winer

Jenna N. Winer, DVM

Dr. Jenna N. Winer graduated as a veterinarian from the University of California – Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine. She earned the distinction of graduating with the #1 rank academically in her veterinary class. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Winer completed a one-year internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in Los Angeles at the Animal Specialty and Emergency Center (ASEC). She then returned to the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine for three years of advanced residency training in Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Dr. Winer became a Board-Certified Veterinary Dentist™ (Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College®) in 2021.

Dr. Winer currently serves as a reviewer for several international veterinary journals, including the Journal of Veterinary Dentistry, Frontiers in Veterinary Science, and the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She is a member of the American Veterinary Dental College® (AVDC®) Exam Committee, for which she writes exam questions and scores dental/surgical procedures of examinees. She also serves on the Los Angeles Zoo‘s Medical Advisor Board and is honored to provide specialized dental care to the zoo’s exotic inhabitants.

Dr. Winer was born and raised in Los Angeles. She lives with her adorable cat named Dumpling (pictured as a young kitten, on the right). Outside of work, she enjoys attending group fitness classes, spending time with her family, and traveling internationally.
